    The coronavirus pandemic has forced many of us to be remain home, but states are slowly allowing places of business to open. There’s still some time before society returns to what we’d consider “normal,” which means plenty of opportunities to binge watch TV – unless you’re the type who’d rather play an instrument, create art, learn to cook, or get in shape.

    Forget that live sports have been canceled. There are hours and hours of stoner television to catch up on!

    Here are four weed & stoner TV shows to binge watch right now on various streaming platforms. Get couch-locked and enjoy.

    1.    Trailer Park Boys

    What’s it about? Trailer Park Boys is a Canadian mockumentary TV series that focuses on the misadventures of a group of trailer park residents in the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles try to make money through petty crimes while avoiding the police. Throughout the series, the trio ends up in and out of jail, with most of their schemes collapsing into failure (many of which involve smoking or growing marijuana). One of Ricky’s most memorable quotes, given in a courthouse no less, sums up the show nicely – “If I can’t smoke and swear, I’m f***ed.”

    2.    Weeds

    What’s it about? Weeds is a dark comedy-drama TV series centered around Nancy Botwin, a widowed mother of two boys (15-year-old Silas and 10-year-old Shane), who begins selling marijuana to support her family. The pilot opens a few months after the untimely death of Nancy’s husband, who fell victim to a heart attack while jogging. Nancy sells marijuana to maintain the upper middle-class lifestyle originally provided by her late husband’s salary, and is soon drawn into the criminal system, develops a client base, and creates her own strain of weed called MILF.

    3.    High Maintenance

    What’s it about? High Maintenance is a comedy-drama TV and web series created by ex-husband and wife team Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld. The show follows The Guy, a cannabis courier, as he delivers his product to clients in New York City. Each episode focuses on different characters as their lives intersect with The Guy. The series is shot throughout various neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

    4.    Bong Appetit

    What’s it about? Putting marijuana into food isn’t limited to just brownies! Bong Appetit is a cannabis-themed cooking TV show where notable chefs prepare high-end cannabis-infused delicacies. B-Real of Cypress Hill takes over as the host of season three, where the show has been rebooted as cooking competition. In the first two seasons, chefs prepare elaborate multicourse meals (again, always infused with marijuana) for party guests.
